ELDEN RING Tarnished Edition

The Tarnished Edition on Switch 2 feels like a proper handheld Dark Souls, and the gyro aiming actually makes a difference during boss fights. I’ve been playing it during my commute, and the quick resume feature is a lifesaver for short sessions.

The Switch 2 runs this version at a buttery 60fps, which makes exploring the Lands Between feel so much smoother than the original. I’ve already spent hours just wandering around, and the seamless transitions between areas are genuinely impressive.

I was worried about how the game would look on a smaller screen, but the Tarnished Edition's performance on the Switch 2 is surprisingly solid. The only thing holding it back from a perfect score is the slightly cramped text in handheld mode.
