Learn how to unlock every fighter in ACA NEOGEO WORLD HEROES PERFECT for Nintendo Switch. This guide covers the simple steps to access the full 16-character roster without any hidden requirements.

Quick Answer

All 16 characters in ACA NEOGEO WORLD HEROES PERFECT are available from the start. You do not need to unlock anyone—just pick your fighter and go.

Why There Are No Hidden Characters

Unlike many fighting games from the 1990s, ACA NEOGEO WORLD HEROES PERFECT does not require you to beat arcade mode or enter secret codes to unlock fighters. The entire roster of 16 historical figures is fully accessible from the main menu. This design choice means you can jump into any match without grinding or looking up cheat codes.

If you are used to modern fighting games with unlockable content, this might feel too simple. But for a quick pick-up-and-play experience, it is a welcome change—especially on Nintendo Switch where you might want to play short sessions.

Understanding the Roster

The game features 16 characters based on historical figures, each with unique fighting styles. You can select any of them directly from the character select screen. There are no alternate versions or secret bosses to unlock. The only thing you need to do is choose your fighter and start the battle.

Steps to Start Playing with Any Character

Step 1: Launch the Game: Start ACA NEOGEO WORLD HEROES PERFECT from your Nintendo Switch home screen. Wait for the title screen to load. Make sure your game is updated to the latest version to avoid any glitches on the character select screen.
Step 2: Select Game Mode: Choose your preferred mode from the main menu. Options include Arcade, Versus, or Practice. Any mode gives you full access to the roster. If you want to try all characters quickly, use Practice mode—no time pressure and no opponent.
Step 3: Pick Your Fighter: On the character select screen, scroll through the grid of 16 characters. Highlight any fighter and press A to confirm. All characters are unlocked and ready. Do not waste time looking for secret codes or hidden selections—every character is displayed openly.
Step 4: Start the Match: After selecting your character, choose your opponent (in Versus mode) or let the game assign one (in Arcade). The match will begin immediately. If you want to change characters, you can return to the select screen before the match starts—no penalty.
